Delete your account

How to request deletion

1. Email privacy@myble.me with the subject “Delete my MyBle account”.
2. Send the request from the email address connected to the account and include that address in your message.
3. We may ask for limited additional information to verify that the account belongs to you. We will never ask for your Google password.
4. We will respond without undue delay and normally within one month, confirming the deletion or explaining any lawful reason why particular information must be retained.

What will be deleted

When the request is verified, MyBle will close the account and delete eligible personal information associated with it from active systems, including:

• your MyBle account profile, Firebase identifier, email address and Google display name;
• private notes, study responses, favourites and praises;
• reading activity and progress, personal targets and saved next reads; and
• questions and conversation content saved through Ask MyBle.

You can also ask us to delete particular private content without closing the whole account.

Information that may be retained

Some limited information may be kept where the law permits or requires it. Agreement records may be retained for up to six years where reasonably necessary to demonstrate the agreement or handle legal claims. Operational and security records are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary. Protected backup copies may remain temporarily until they cycle out through the normal backup-retention process, and anonymous or sufficiently aggregated information may be retained because it no longer identifies you.
